After an up-and-down (well, mostly
down) Hawaiian vacation, the Haters finally caught their
flight back home... but, uhhhhh, they had a bit of a catastrophe due to some misplaced
newt's blood.
AHHHHHH CRAP!!! I forgot to post Super Haters at its regular time (normally I say this when I post it a half hour late, but we're talking about six hours late today). See, earlier in the day, I was at the extras auditions for a film titled "
Magnus Rex." Yeeeaaahhh. I'd tell you the real name of it, but I'm not supposed to say. Anyway, it's no excuse. It's just the reason why I forgot. :(
OH WELL! I hope you enjoyed today's conclusion of the Vacation story arc. Now get ready for tomorrow when we kick off the start of Shawn Atkins Guest Week!
The Haters are on a
flight back home, having just finished their eventful Hawaii vacation.
Mind's Eye managed to
turn Destruct-O-Tron from white to black just in time for the Haters to leave Hawaii.
It's time for the Haters to wrap up their tumultuous Hawaiian vacation and catch their flight home, so Mind's Eye has taken it upon herself to transform
a reluctant Destruct-O-Tron back to normal.
Ooopppspspsps!!! I'm posting the comic late again! What's my excuse today? Two things: 1. I was lettering
Stick Cats #9, featuring kickass guest art by
Katie Henderson; and 2. I had a
Jack Kirby documentary playing in the background. So suffice to say that I was pretty distracted. Anyway, I highly recommend both today's Stick Cats AND the Kirby documentary. They go together like, ummm... bubble gum and mashed potatoes. Yeaaahhh.
Destruct-O-Tron
loves being white and he refuses to let Mind's Eye change him back.
At first, Mind's Eye was relieved that Destruct-O-Tron wasn't angry with her about the messed up sunblock spell
that turned him white. But now it's just getting annoying.
OOOOPS!! I got so caught up in working on Super Haters #186 that I missed my usual time. Since today's strip is a half hour late, I think it's only fair that I tease what happens #186: by this point, the Haters are on their way back home from Hawaii... and Destruct-O-Tron's only line in the strip is, "What about the newt's blood?" HOW'S THAT FOR A TEASER???
Mind's Eye is having a hard time believing that Destruct-O-Tron is 100% okay
with turning white.
Mind's Eye meant to cast a sunblock spell on Destruct-O-Tron, but instead
she turned him white. Lucky for her, he's not pissed.
Something went wrong when Mind's Eye
cast a simple sunblock spell on Destruct-O-Tron.
PLUS: Check out this
Super Haters image on deviantART -- it's sorta like the second panel of this comic strip, but with a little twist.
Destruct-O-Tron's afraid of getting a sunburn, so
Mind's Eye has offered to put a sunblock spell on him to alleviate his worries.
Oooo!!! Super shocker!!! How will Destruct-O-Tron handle his newfound whiteness? Find out tomorrow!
Mind's Eye and Destruct-O-Tron have been having a shitty vacation so far, but it looks like things might be starting to turn around...
This is the start of Vacation pt 2! The Haters are still in Hawaii doing their thing, but the story is changing gears a bit. That means tomorrow won't be another voicemail comic strip... and I guarantee that it'll surprise you!!!
The shitty vacation continues! Destruct-O-Tron fucked up the hotel reservations, causing his credit card company to put a hold on his account, and forcing an already taxed Mind's Eye
to cover the cost of the motel.
Destruct-O-Tron's
credit card company has put a freeze on his account after he used Whorbitz.com to book fake hotel reservations.
The Super Haters are on a Hawaiian vacation, and being the genius that he is, Destruct-O-Tron fucked up the hotel reservations by
booking them through Whorbitz.com.
The crappy vacation continues!!! The airline
confiscated Mind's Eye's luggage, and now the Haters are having hotel problems...
Oooopps!!! Late again. Sorry. I got a little carried away researching book printing. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good book printer? Also... who'd be interested in owning a Super Haters book? I'm thinking the first 200 or so strips collected into a Garfield format. BTW, if no one responds to this, I'll just assume you hate the Super Haters and never want to buy a Haters book ever. Never ever.
The Haters are on vacation and it's been nothing but trouble so far. First, they both left their phones at home, and then
Mind's Eye's luggage never showed up at the Honolulu baggage claim.
Sorry today's strip is going up a little bit late! I got carried away working on a new Nik Furious beat. You can
listen to the Buh Rick demo on Facebook.
The Haters are on vacation, and so far, things are off to a bad start.
This vacation storyline is something Justique's been wanting to do for a long time... in fact, we've been trying to fit it into the ongoing story for months now! And while most of our plots evolve significantly from the moment they're conceived until the moment they're posted on the blog, the basic concept of this story arc has remained completely in tact -- vacation hijinks alternating with missed phone calls. And that means... (you guessed it!) tomorrow's comic is another missed called.
Destruct-O-Tron is with Mind's Eye on vacation in Hawaii, and he
left his cell phone back at home. I mean,
I guess you could call that thing a cell phone... but it was probably referred to as a "mobile cellular hand phone" when it came out.
Long-time Super Haters fans will remember Mulldusa as one of this strip's most popular supporting characters. In fact, he was even the star of the comic for a
short-lived run back in the 40s. Mulldusa and Destruct-O-Tron were last seen lampin' in
Super Haters #97.
The Haters are on a Hawaiian vacation, and Mind's Eye left
her cell phone waaay back in CENSORED (a.k.a. the unrevealed place where the Super Haters live). But never fear! Destruct-O-Tron's got her covered. Right? Uhhhh...
right???
Mind's Eye and Destruct-O-Tron have
decided to take a vacation. And...
ooops!!! It looks like Mind's Eye left her cell phone behind..
