First up, sorry today's conclusion to Reality is a few hours late!!!! But enough with the apologies... there's so much awesome stuff to share with you today!

First and foremost is this super kickass awesome Mind's Eye sketch by Ross Campbell! I'll be posting it on the blog tomorrow, but I'm so excited about it today that I can't wait until tomorrow.

Two weeks ago, I discussed the writing process that Justique and I have for Super Haters. In particular, I revealed the different story arcs that we've championed to give you a better idea of our individual writing sensibilities. Now I'd like to take things to the next level.

Reality was Justique's idea and she's written the majority of the jokes for this story arc. For example, yesterday's #297 was all her. She came up with the "The Reality Television Formula" idea, the suicide punchline, and so on. Same goes for #295 and #293.

But as this arc has progressed, I've had a chance to get a few of my jokes in there. For example, Tuesday's #296 was one of mine. Same goes for #294. And same goes for today!

Hopefully that gives you more insight into how we work! I also hope it gives you a feel for our personal senses of humor, so now you can better identify who wrote which punchline. Kinda like how people try to figure out who wrote the majority of which Beatles song in the Lennon-McCartney partnership.

Which, I suppose, would make Justique and I the Lennon-McCartney of superhero fart jokes.

Destruct-O-Tron will do anything to make the Super Haters reality show a hit.

I'm sorry I'm posting the comic strip a few hours late today... but I brought goodies with me!!! What derailed the timely arrival of today's comic was a massive undertaking that I didn't realize was massive until I started working on it. Let me start from the beginning...

See, Google+ just added a new pages features and I was excited to get the Super Haters on there ASAP. And that's what I did! So if you're on G+, pls add the Super Haters G+ page to your circles!!!

Creating the G+ page was easy... but I decided it should launch with some content. So I had the bright idea of posting the longest Super Haters story arc to date -- Le Hunger -- as a photo album... in a panel-by-panel format. Suffice to say that it had waaay more panels than I'd estimated. And to top that off, it also required tweaking to maintain the quality of the reading experience. I had to add stuff like "The Next Day" and other transitions.

Finally, I finished the panels -- 179 in total. Not too shabby, right? Then I went to upload them to G+ and that's when the biggest problem hit. If you're familiar with G+ photo albums and batch uploading, then you already know that the pics don't always upload in the order that you want them to. No biggie because you can just pop over to Picasa Web Albums and organize them there.

But that's not the case with G+ pages. For some reason, those photo albums don't show up in your Picasa Web Albums. And there's no option for editing the order or organizing the images within G+ itself. So if you want your pictures to be seen in perfect order with a G+ page photo album, you need to ensure that they upload in the perfect order cause there's no rearranging them!

That means I uploaded all 179 images one-by-one. But it worked! Here's Le Hunger panel-by-panel on G+. Also, not to be left out, I thought FB deserved the same treatment, so here's Le Hunger panel-by-panel on Facebook.

But I wasn't done yet. I decided I should add some people to my Super Haters circles. As I quickly discovered, G+ pages can only add other G+ pages. So I hunted down about 100 other comics-related pages and created a new circle. And I shared it with the world!

So that's my excuse. G+ pages + photos + Facebook + a new G+ Comics pages circle. Whoooph! I need a nap. (EDIT: The circle I linked to yesterday didn't work correctly because it contained both Pages and Profiles. I've changed the links to take you to a circle that only contains Pages. Problem solved!!!)

Some of you may not completely understand the breakdown of the credits on Super Haters, so lemme explain it real quick: I co-write the comic strip with Justique, and then I get the art together and I letter it.

I'm explaining the credits is because I'd like to highlight something special about this particular story arc -- it's Justique's baby. In contrast, the recent Le Hunger arc was mostly written under my lead. We still collaborated on almost every strip, but I was suggesting punchlines and plot directions most of the time. The reverse is true for Reality. Justique came up with the reality TV concept, and she's designed the majority of the jokes thus far. (I'm going somewhere with this, so stick with me...)

The reason I bring all of this up is because, as a reader, I'm always curious about the nature of writing collaborations. Who wrote what joke? Who's sense of humor informed that plot? And so on.

So if you're curious, here are a few examples of Justique's sensibilities: she came up with the big concept for Destruct-O-Inferno, she suggested that the Super Haters go on a Vacation, and she saw the potential for hilarity by turning Mind's Eye and Destruct-O-Tron into Kids. Me? I couldn't wait to get Destruct-O-Tron Back in Black and I wanted to test the boundaries of friendship with In Lust.

Anyway, just thought you might like to know! I hope you're enjoying Justique's Reality concept as much as I am.

Despite Mind's Eye's complaints, Destruct-O-Tron has started filming a Super Haters reality show.
